Teaching the basics of drawing with a machine.
If you've always wanted to have a go at free-motion embroidery but never had the know-how, this is the perfect introductory class just for you. Designed to help you understand equipment, materials and machine set-up and overcome the 'fear' of sewing. you will soon feel comfortable to stitch away creating beautiful pictures and writing. It is also ideal for those with limited experience and just fancy a new skill.
You will learn how to set-up your sewing machine for free-motion embroidery and discuss equipment that we will use. There will be technique and demonstrations, including creative raw-appliqué and and "writing" with machine.
We will be putting your newly learned skills into practice to make stitched raw-appliqued pictures on fabric. You will be guided through step by step.
Design templates can be provided but you are free to bring along your own ideas too or even if you prefer to work from a photo Keeley will help every step of the way.
And we will break for a scrumptious afternoon tea which is included in the price!
